Your Specialist

International training. Melbourne expertise.

Dr Jonathan Tan graduated from the University of Melbourne and completed advanced interventional endoscopy training at The Alfred Hospital before undertaking a one-year fellowship at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver — a world-renowned liver transplant centre specialising in ERCP and EUS.

Back in Melbourne, Jonathan holds a senior public appointment at Box Hill Hospital and maintains an active research and multidisciplinary practice, attending Epworth's weekly Gastrointestinal MDT meetings. He is known for clear communication with patients, GPs, and allied health professionals alike.

Jonathan sees patients with all gut-related concerns, with particular interests in pancreatic and biliary disease and colorectal cancer screening and prevention.

Outside the clinic, Jonathan enjoys exploring Melbourne's nature walks and café scene with his wife and three children.
